Consulate General of Pakistan in Jeddah hosts Community Event

at Pakistan House

JEDDAH, August 14, 2023 – The Consulate General of Pakistan organized a community event at Pakistan House Jeddah on the evening of 14th August 2023, in commemoration of Pakistan’s Independence Day. The occasion witnessed the participation of a diverse spectrum of the Pakistani community alongside the presence of local ethnic media representatives, highlighting their deep-rooted unity and fondness for their homeland.

Consul General Khalid Majid, in his address, emphasized the significance of Pakistan’s Independence Day and conveyed sincere appreciation to the Saudi leadership for their steadfast support. Furthermore, he extended solidarity with the Kashmiri people, who currently face immense challenges brought upon by Indian atrocities, assuring them of Pakistan’s unyielding and comprehensive aid.

Noteworthy speakers, including members of the National Solidarity Forum, underscored the vital importance of unity and national solidarity, embodying the true essence of freedom. Their eloquent speeches truly captured the spirit behind Pakistan’s Independence Day.

Adding to the exuberance of the event, a splendid showcase of talent was presented by two renowned Pakistani singers, Farhan Tabassum and Naeem Sindhi, who delivered awe-inspiring renditions of national songs. The presence of Farhan Tabassum, who specially flew in from Pakistan, alongside Naeem Sindhi representing the Pakistani expat community, further heightened the festivities of the celebration.

The event resonated as an unequivocal success, effectively illustrating the indomitable unity and affection of the Pakistani community in Jeddah towards their motherland.

The evening culminated with a ceremonial presentation of Consul General’s appreciation certificates, honoring various Pakistani organizations/forums/groups dedicated to serving the community in Jeddah and western region of the Kingdom.

The occasion also featured a symbolic cake-cutting ceremony and heartfelt prayers for the prosperity of Pakistan, as well as the well-being of the Kashmiri people in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
