Welcome to Emergency Travel Document (ETD) Section

Emergency Travel Document (ETD) is issued to Pakistani nationals for travelling back to Pakistan only in extreme emergency cases when their Pakistani Passport is not available /expired/lost. The applicant has to submit the proof of his/her genuine emergency for issuance of Emergency Travel Document.

No appointment is required to apply for Emergency Travel Document. On arriving at the Consulate General, please visit the ETD Section (Room no. 13, Ground Floor). On your turn, the serving official after proper scrutiny of your documents, he will issue a fee receipt upon payment of required fee and will also inform about collection time. On receipt of your ETD, carefully check your particulars on the emergency travel document before you leave the Consulate General.

Requirements for Emergency Travel Document Application

  • Duly filled in and signed application form.
  • Two (2) recent passport size photographs with white/blue background.
  • Copy of expired/lost Pakistani Passport.
  • Copy of valid CNIC.
  • Proof of emergency (serious illness or death of immediate family member or loss of passport during Hajj/Umrah/Visit Visa/Final Exit).
  • In case the applicant is under 05 years of age, parents are required  to accompany the applicant along with their original identity documents and applicant’s birth certificate (Shahada Milad) attested by the local Ministry of Foreign Affairs along with its English translation.
