First Pakistani Hajj flight of 2024 Hajj season lands in Saudi Arabia
The first Pakistani Hajj flight arrived at Prince Mohammad bin Abdul Aziz International Airport in Madina Munawwarah today. Pakistan’s Ambassador in KSA Mr. Ahmad Farooq, Consul General of Pakistan in Jeddah, Mr. Khalid Majid, DG Hajj Mr. Abdul Wahab Soomro, Director Hajj Makkah, Faheem Afridi, Director Hajj Madina Zia ur Rehman, were present at the airport along with senior Saudi Ministry of Hajj & Umrah officials to receive the Pakistani pilgrims who were presented with bouquets and complimentary gifts upon arrival at Madina Al Munawarah.
The Pakistani flights arrived from the cities of Karachi, Multan, Lahore and Islamabad. A total of more than 2100 Pakistani pilgrims will arrive on the first day via Pakistan International Airlines and other private airlines at Prince Mohammed International Airport in Medina.
It is noteworthy that the total number of Pakistani pilgrims for this Hajj season is approximately 179,210 pilgrims. About 50% of the total pilgrims are performing Hajj under government Hajj scheme while the rest through private Hajj tour companies. The Pakistani Hajj delegation has prepared the necessary housing for all its pilgrims, provided the necessary facilities and equipped service personnel, including a Medical Mission comprising of 500 medical staff, doctors and specialists and 550 moavineen and officials of Ministry of Religious Affairs who have joined the Hajj mission in KSA to assist in Hajj operations and services throughout the Holy Capital of Makkah Mukarramah and the city of Madina Al-Munawwarah.
