Welcome to Visa Section

Consulate General of Pakistan

Visas are required for all travelers who are going to Pakistan on temporary basis such as tourism, studies, business, and medical treatment. This section provides visa services to Saudi citizens and third country nationals residing in Saudi Arabia. Under the new visa regime, approved by the Government of Pakistan recently, significant changes have been made. The salient features of the liberalized visa regime are:

  • Introduction of simplified system of online visa (visa.nadra.gov.pk) with fewer documents.
  • Visa-on-arrival (VOA) for 50 countries including Saudi Arabia coupled with Electronic Travel Authorization to be issued within 72 hours.
  • E-Visa for citizens of 175 countries including Saudi Arabia with simple requirements. Apply online on visa.nadra.gov.pk
  • Businessmen of 95 countries including Saudi Arabia can now avail Business Visa on Arrival facility (BVOA).

Note:

Consulate General of Pakistan  has stopped the manual processing of visas w.e.f 1st February 2021 except for Indian and Somalian nationals. Please visit online visa portal https://visa.nadra.gov.pk/ for submission of application for online visa (E-visa).

Types of Visa

Important Note

  • Applicants other than Saudi nationals should attach a copy of exit /re-entry visas with the application form.
  • Passport should be valid for at least a period of six months.
  • Pakistan origin foreign nationality holders having valid Pakistan Origin Card (POC) are entitled to Pakistani visa provided their POC is valid. Such applicants will have to follow all visa procedure except payment of “visa fee”. In case of expired POC, the applicant will have to pay the fee.
  • Ex-Pakistan nationals having nationality of those countries with whom Pakistan has “dual nationality agreement” should have a valid computerized national identity card or National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP) to obtain free Pakistani visa. Such applicants will follow all the procedure for issuance of visa except for the payment of visa fee.
  • Foreign nationals visiting the Kingdom for Umra, Hajj or visit are not issued visa from Pakistan Consulate General, Jeddah. Such persons are advised to get visa for Pakistan from Pakistan’s diplomatic mission in their countries before their arrival in Saudi Arabia.

REQUIREMENTS FOR VISAS

  • Visa application form with two latest photographs, copy of passport and copy of national identity card (for Saudi nationals) and copy of residence permit (for foreign nationals).
  • Invitation/ sponsor letter from Pakistan in the form of “affidavit” duly attested by Oath Commissioner in Pakistan. A copy of the affidavit be sent to Consulate General through email parepjeddah@mofa.gov.pk
  • Details regarding nature of visit /purpose of visit
  • Copy of Passport/CNIC of the relative in Pakistan
  • Hotel Booking
Business Visa 7-10 Working Days
  • Visa application form with two latest photographs, copy  of passport and copy of national identity card for Saudi nationals) and copy of residence permit (for    foreign  nationals)
  • Letter from the company in Saudi Arabia, duly attested by Chamber of Commerce.
  • Invitation/ sponsor letter, duly attested by Chamber of Commerce, from the  recruiting agent  in Pakistan regarding the visit, a copy of letter be sent to Consulate General through email parepjeddah@mofa.gov.pk
Study Visa Subject to approval by competent authorities from Pakistan/ Ministry of Interior
  • Visa application form with two latest photographs, copy of passport and copy of residence permit
  • Letter from the university and Higher Education Commission and Economic Affairs Division confirming the admission of applicant
  • Sponsor letter from the embassy of the applicant (if not a Saudi national) in Saudi Arabia, regarding financial status of the applicant/ guardian.
Work Visa 7-10 Working Days
  • Visa application form with two latest photographs, copy of passport and copy of residence permit.
  • Recommendation of the Board of Investment, Pakistan
  • Mandatory security clearance or otherwise shall be conveyed by the security agencies.
Diplomatic / Official Visa Subject to approval by competent authority Ministry of Foreign Affairs Islamabad
  • Visa application form with two latest photographs, copy of passport and copy of residence permit.
  • To facilitate foreign diplomats, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Pakistan is authorized to issue gratis visa/ accreditation cards for tenure of diplomatic/ official assignment.
  • Only authorized slots will be granted Diplomatic Visa.
  • Security clearance for additional slots will be mandatory.
Journalist Visa 7-10 Working Days
  • Visa application form with two latest photographs, copy of passport and copy of residence permit.
  • Permissions/ recommendation of the Press Attaché and Link Offices except for Indian Journalists and apply through Ministry of Information & Broadcasting Pakistan.
Family Visit Visa 7-10 Working Days
  • Visa application form with two latest photographs, copy of passport and copy of residence permit.
  • Photocopy of Nikah Nama and Computerized National Identity Card.
Other Visas (Tabligh, Missionary, NGO and House Maid Work Visas
  • Visa application form with two latest photographs, copy of passport and copy of residence permit
  • Approval of Ministry of Interior

Note :

  • While applying online, scanned copies of required documents must be attached.
  • Online visa facility is not valid for Indian and Somalian nationals
  • While processing the visa, passport of the applicant must be valid for six months.
  • Hotel Booking and residential address, where the applicant will stay in Pakistan, is required for tourist visa.
  • Address of Applicant's relative in Pakistan is required for family visit visa.
  • Pakistani Company name along with contact number and address where the applicant will stay in Pakistan is required
