Consul General of Pakistan at Jeddah Mr. Khalid Majid hosted a reception at his residence this evening to celebrate the 91st National Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. HRH Princess Al- Jawhra Al-Saleh and H.E Mr. Ahmad A. Bin Zafer, Chief of Royal Protocol, Makkah Al-Mukarramah Region, were the Guests of Honour on the occasion. In his welcome address, the Consul General extended heartiest felicitations from the people and Government of Pakistan to His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince HRH Muhammad bin Salman and brotherly Saudi nation on this auspicious occasion. Highlighting strong and deep rooted Pak-Saudi ties, which are spread across all spectrums of the two societies, he wished continued progress and prosperity of the Kingdom and its people. Special documentaries and national songs on the everlasting friendship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia were screened. A special documentary on Farman Ali Khan (Shaheed), a hero in Saudi Arabia and Pakistan for his gallantry act of rescuing fourteen (14) people during torrential floods in Jeddah in 2009 was also screened. Later on, Foreign Minister’s appreciation certificate was presented to Dr. Atef Hussain for his extraordinary work in the field of Science and Innovation. A special friendship cake was cut at the end of the ceremony.

The reception was attended by senior Saudi officials, diplomatic corps. prominent Saudi and Pakistani community members besides representatives of local and ethnic media.
