PAKISTAN’S NAVY SHIP PNS YAMAMA VISITS JEDDAH
ISLAMIC PORT

Pakistan Navy Ship PNS ‘Yamama’ made a port call at Jeddah Islamic port. On the evening of 19th January 2025, a reception onboard ship PNS Yamama was hosted by the Consul General Mr. Khalid Majid and Commanding Officer of PNS Yamama Captain Abdur Rehman in honour of the senior Saudi Military officials and Pakistani Community members. Maj. Gen. Ahmed Bin Ali Al Dubais, Quaid Al Muntaqa Al Gharbia (Western Region Commander, Royal Saudi Armed Forces) was the Chief Guest on the occasion.

Rear Admiral Mansoor Bin Saood Al Jayad, Quaid Al Astol Al Gharbia (Western Fleet Commander, Royal Saudi Navy), Brig. Mohsin Javaid, Defence Advisor of Pakistan to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, other senior Saudi Military officials, Pakistani diplomats and prominent Pakistani community members were also in attendance in significant number.

In his welcoming remarks, Captain Abdur Rehman thanked the Consul General of Pakistan and the Saudi military leadership for the excellent hospitality extended to the crew during the visit. The guests were also briefed about the various capabilities and aspects of the Pakistan Navy Ship Yamama.

PNS Yamama is the last of four Offshore Patrol Vessels built for Pakistan Navy by DAMEN Shipyards, Galati, Romania. These versatile, high-tech, and state-of-the-art platforms are designed to operate in contested maritime environments and are equipped to maintain peace in current challenging time and project deterrence across all domains of warfare.

The event concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony and dinner.
