Roshan Digital Account” webinar held at The Embassy of Pakistan, Riyadh

The Embassy of Pakistan, Riyadh, organized a webinar, moderated by the Ambassador of Pakistan to Saudi Arabia H.E Raja Ali Ejaz, on the “Roshan Digital Account” (RDA) initiative of the Government of Pakistan. The event was addressed by the Deputy Governor State Bank of Pakistan Dr Murtaza Syed. About 30 participants including Consul General of Pakistan to Jeddah, Mr. Khalid Majid, Pakistan-based bankers, CEOs, financial experts, business persons and diaspora members virtually attended the event. Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Governor State Bank of Pakistan said the RDA initiative of the Government of Pakistan aims at connecting the diaspora with Pakistan financially by facilitating their remittances. Speaking about the unique features of RDA, he said it offers flexibility in regulation without compromising on the standards and allows complete freedom to remit any amount, any time without any permission. He shared with the participants that the State Bank of Pakistan plans to introduce more such initiatives to facilitate the overseas Pakistanis. Other participants from the State Bank of Pakistan provided detailed insight on the operations of the Roshan Digital Account. The event concluded by a Q & A session.
