King Faisal’s gift to Pakistan has become one of the most important landmarks in the city of Islamabad, and even has one of the world’s largest mosques that can be seen from anywhere in the city. The Shah Faisal Mosque, which does not have a dome, still retains its air conditioning, and includes an outdoor garden.The Imam of Islamabad’s Shah Faisal Mosque, Sheikh Mohammad Attaur Rehman, told Al-Youm that the kingdom has given Pakistan a precious gift that every citizen will not forget, pointing out that the mosque was built to accommodate 300,000 worshippers. An international competition was held in which engineers from 17 countries submitted 42 different models.

He explained that during 10 years of construction, the mosque cost Pakistan $120, and today it has become the most beautiful gift to the Muslim Republic. Remember to pray to Shah Faisal every day.

Attaur Rehman added that the mosque has three characteristics, because it has manuscripts of the Holy Quran in its hands, and there are many lessons and sessions for teaching the Holy Quran.
